BDAT 040.jpgThank you for taking the time to visit this website and find out more about this career opportunity as Director of Secondary here at Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust (BDAT). With excellent foundations already in place, the current postholder has decided to retire, so it’s an ideal opportunity to build on success to date and ensure continued momentum.  I believe this role presents the right candidate with an excellent opportunity to apply their educational expertise in an environment where they can make a real difference to outcomes for pupils across four secondary schools in our City.

BDAT has a great deal to be positive about. Our most recent results show consistent improvement in our academies, so there is an excellent foundation on which to build. And we have built up excellent relationships within the Trust, both centrally with each school and in terms of school to school support. This has helped to foster a strong Trust identity and a common sense of purpose, while still recognising the individual characteristics that define each school. We’ll look to our new Director of Secondary to build on these relationships and ensure that professional rigour, support and challenge are central to how we work.

You’ll be part of a strong executive team, so alongside your secondary specialism we are keen to hear from candidates who can contribute insight across the full education journey and can play their part in the overall leadership of the Trust. You’ll have a key role to play in developing our CPD offer to support colleagues’ development, grow our capacity and establish our reputation as a destination of choice for the best teaching talent.

Our culture encourages both autonomy and accountability – creating the professional space for innovation while ensuring a shared focus on outcomes and consistency. Strong relationships are key to making this work – so it’s essential that whoever takes on this role can quickly win confidence and add value to our academies.

BDAT have engaged NavigateNDC to support this important appointment I encourage you to contact them on 01625 800862 to find out more about the role.

Good luck in your application.
